As you know, Genesis Prep is moving to the beautiful campus of Trinity College for the upcoming school year. We are renting classroom and outdoor space from the college, and those of you who were able to attend the Open House in May know how perfect this move is for our school. Also, we’re happy to let you know that we have rented additional space for the installation of our science lab and art room, so all our academic needs are being met. Regarding outside space, there are numerous large fields to take care of our physical education needs as well as a disc golf (frisbee) course. In addition, Mr. Jim King, a parent at our Genesis East campus, has graciously volunteered to re-surface an existing outdoor basketball/volleyball court and supply brand new backboards. Thank you, Mr. King! This will provide another fun gathering place for our students.
MOVING DAY IS COMING UP! Our wonderful GPS teachers and Board of Trustees have been hard at work all summer packing up the many items that need to be moved. As you can imagine, this is a humongous task! Our actual moving day will be Wednesday, July 31st. Students and parents – are you looking for some service or parent volunteer hours? Just give us a call at the school and we’ll put you to work! We appreciate your help. Trinity College has made sure that GPS has its own place on the campus and we are even moving our beautiful new LED-lit Genesis Prep sign donated by the Hasan Family. We can’t wait to get everything set up!
The safety of our students is our primary concern. Our students will always be supervised and escorted by GPS teachers or staff. All security measures will be discussed in detail at the individual student/family meetings as well as at our Orientation. However, please call if you have any concerns or questions.
