A Letter From the Head of School

dr-melissa-nurrenbrockDear Parents and Students,

Welcome to Genesis Preparatory School. Our goal is to provide the best possible educational experience for our students. Our faculty and staff are committed to educating our students with emphasis on academics, fine arts, athletics, and character development through a rigorous college preparatory program. We provide a supportive environment while preparing the students to live constructive and productive lives.

A GPS education also provides long-term benefits and great rewards with 100% of our graduates accepted to college and 90% receiving academic scholarships. Our graduates know what a GPS diploma can do for them; many are enrolled at honors colleges and prestigious universities all across America.

The superior academic achievements of our students are indicated by high scores on standardized tests and awards received in local, state, and national contests. GPS students consistently score high above the national norm on The Stanford Achievement Test, as seen below in the school’s results for the past three years. Superior academic achievement is also shown in the number of GPS students who score 3 or above on the AP (Advanced Placement) exams given nationally each year. The chart on the next page shows how well our AP students perform when compared to Florida and Global student populations. Lastly, the scores of our 2012 and 2013 Graduates on the various subsections of the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) show the significant academic achievements of GPS students on college entrance exams. While percentages vary somewhat for things such as class size, you can see why we are extremely proud of our students’ performance year after year.
